An undated link can tell a different story
Two names may appear in one company during different periods. A diagram alone could suggest a coincidence that never existed. Ariadna's timeline places relationships in time and helps examine what was documented before, during and after a change.
What the system contributes
The temporal sequence answers questions a static graph cannot: when a person appeared, which relationship existed before or after a change and how the structure evolved. Every relevant element should open its source, date and supporting fragment.
Follow the document back to the event
For each relevant point, distinguish the date of the event, publication in the register and the investigation's access date. They are not always the same. Preserving that context helps compare apparently contradictory sources and identify an update that arrived after the information used to form a hypothesis.
Reconstruct without relying on someone's memory
A reviewer receiving the case should be able to follow the steps and open their supporting records. The timeline helps prepare review, communicate background and locate gaps. It does not invent dates to complete a diagram: an unknown date stays unknown and may change what can reasonably be concluded.
