Data belongs to the school
Answers, sessions and records are treated as information belonging to the educational institution. The school defines who may access them and how long they are retained.
Less data goes to providers
Varexis sits in front of every external-provider call. Names, classes and student IDs do not need to leave the institution. The architecture avoids free tiers when their terms allow content to be reused for product improvement.
Facts, not profiles
The system preserves observed facts and does not infer mood, personality or ability from schedules, response timing or writing style.
Explicit care rules
Before use, the school agrees a protocol for risk situations. If a student explicitly writes something that sounds like self-harm, the session stops, a help line is shown and a single alert goes to the designated adult. The contradictor never comments on anything personal.
