‘At 7 PM turn on the light’ is automation. It may be useful, but it does not know whether anybody is home, whether there is still natural light or whether that room is being used. Argos Home tries to answer those questions before acting.
It is not tied to a single brand.
The core logic should not disappear because you replace a camera, a light or a climate system. Compatible devices connect through adapters to reduce manufacturer dependency.
It does not confuse missing data with normality.
If a sensor stops responding, the system can know it lost coverage. That uncertainty becomes part of the decision.
It does not confuse a command sent with an action completed.
After acting, it can observe again. In the physical world, verification matters as much as command.
And it does not confuse intelligence with authority.
The fact that Argos Home can infer something does not mean it may automatically act. The family defines the boundaries and keeps the final word.
