Is Argos Home home automation?+
It is an ambient-intelligence system for the home that interprets what is happening without waiting for someone to issue commands and coordinates responses according to context.
Do my cameras, images or conversations leave the home?+
The design prioritizes local processing for sensitive context. Core intelligence can work without permanently sending images, video, audio or family routines to an external cloud.
Can OrvixLabs watch what happens inside my home?+
Normal operation can be designed so OrvixLabs does not receive a permanent feed of cameras, conversations or routines. External integrations are defined only when needed and with explicit boundaries.
Do I need to replace all my existing devices?+
Not necessarily. When existing equipment is compatible and can be integrated safely, it can be incorporated through adapters. Only what is genuinely missing needs to be added.
Can it recognize my car and open the gate when I arrive?+
Yes, when suitable sensors, access controls and identification mechanisms exist and that action has been authorized. The concrete mechanism is designed for the environment.
Can it prepare the temperature before I walk in?+
Yes. It can relate arrival, occupancy, temperature, permitted preferences and available climate control to prepare the environment within the rules you defined.
Can it support an older person?+
It can detect meaningful routine changes, ask, remind or notify authorized family members. It does not replace human care or medical attention.
What happens if the Internet goes down?+
Sensitive functions can be designed to run locally while the necessary hardware remains available. External integrations may degrade without requiring the local core to stop.
Can it act on its own?+
Only within explicit permissions. It can observe, recommend, ask for confirmation or execute authorized actions. Critical decisions can always remain under human approval.
What happens if a sensor fails?+
A missing signal is treated as lost evidence, not normality. The system can reduce confidence, limit actions and request intervention.
Does it replace an alarm, doctor or caregiver?+
No. It can complement certified systems and human care with context and coordination, but it is not presented as an automatic replacement for professional services.
Who has the final word?+
