What changes with Argos Care?+
It is an ambient-care system that supports the independence of older adults, people with disabilities or home recovery without turning the home into a surveillance centre.
What should not be treated as certainty?+
A changed routine may have a simple explanation: a visitor, different rest times or a device that stopped reporting. Value lies in showing the change with context and following an agreed checking procedure. Lack of activity is not automatically an emergency and does not establish a person's state of health.
How is my deployment defined?+
The person, family and carers define the situations to observe and who should receive notifications. Relevant devices are selected without assuming every room needs a camera. Events and context are related within that scope. Configuration distinguishes comfort preferences, signals requiring enquiry and situations that belong directly with human assistance.
What happens if something stops working?+
Sending a family notification does not prove it was read or that the person is well. The workflow shows its state and follows available escalation rules. A silent sensor is reported as a limitation rather than interpreted as normality. Testing includes those cases and the manual procedure for continuing.
Who can inspect the information?+
A person's habits do not automatically belong to everyone around them. Deployment agrees who can inspect events, the detail shown and retention periods. Information is processed locally in the private mode; authorised notifications to relatives outside the home have limited content and an explicitly defined channel.
Who stays in control?+
Support is not permission to impose surveillance for somebody else's convenience. Scope must be explained understandably and reviewed with responsible people and the recipient as appropriate. Records are not used to assign diagnoses or abilities. Care and professional decisions do not transfer to an engine merely because sensors exist.
What is checked before wider use?+
Review normal situations, expected changes, alerts to disregard and circumstances needing a check. Evaluation involves users and carers, including sensor or communication loss. Argos Care does not replace medical care, carers or emergency services. Success means useful, understandable assistance, not a promise to detect every incident.
