Do not ask again for information already recorded

A port call may span terminal systems, services, documents and messages. Port Operations uses existing sources before introducing another manual input. Integration starts by identifying responsibility for each datum and the appropriate reference when sources disagree.

What the system contributes

The architecture prioritizes APIs, events, EDI, structured files and existing sources. The principle is not to ask a person for data that already exists in a trustworthy source. When a situation can only be confirmed by a human, the intervention should be minimal and traceable.

Connect without pretending everything is one database

APIs, events and structured files can update at different rates. Origin and time accompany the information. The platform should not erase those differences to draw an apparently uniform dashboard: an outdated source needs a clear signal for the team.

Human confirmation keeps its place

Some circumstances can only be confirmed by a responsible person. That step must be brief, explicit and recorded rather than replaced by inference. Integration trials check data reading, missing information, contradictions and human confirmation before scope expands to more participants.
